2 Bedroom Cabin in Magdalena

Hideaway in an authentic rustic cabin located on 1.5 acres in the mountains of the Cibola National Forest 4 miles south of Magdalena NM with all paved access. Located in NM Hunting Unit 17, 4 miles from Unit 13 and a short drive to Unit 16E, The Cabin is ideal for hunters, groups, or just to getaway. Chest freezer for hunter meat storage available. There is a covered carport, and additional open space parking is available large enough for campers, UTV's, and RVs. “Netflix, Hulu live, including local channels for news, and Paramount+ are included during stay. Magdalena doesn't have a grocery store, and restaurants are limited. Closest grocery shopping is 26 miles away in Socorro, so stock up!” Limited cell service in the area. Verizon and Straight Talk seem to work the best. There are bugs in the forest, they won't leave... I asked. There is possibly untamed wild grass and/or flowers on and around the property. I am also allergic, but it's pretty, so I let it grow. I understand the draw of a crackling wood fire in a fire pit, but the forest service would rather not hear it raging down the mountain so yes, the firepit and grill are propane and still flame brightly. I don't require anyone to clean The Cabin before they leave, so I charge a cleaning fee and just ask that the trash is kept separate from the floor. I keep The Cabin stocked with spices, regular and disposable plates, and utensils and paper products. There is coffee, creamer, sugar, Splenda, and tea bags. I don't drink tea, so I am winging there, but I try. This is not the Hilton; it is a cabin in New Mexico. In the forest. Where it rains, snows and the sun shines-sometimes all in one day and sometimes this causes the internet to stop working and make you go outside and enjoy the running creek or the dry creek bed depending on the season. It is beautiful, simple, comfortable, practical, and rural. Enjoy it for what it is and please don't try to change it into every other cabin/rustic getaway you have encountered with a 4 star rating because the internet glitched or the 12 pillows or 5 beds were not your "just right" . Relax. Enjoy it. Breathe.
