You can explore nearby desert attractions such as Joshua Tree National Park for hiking or rock climbing, In Feb see the excitement of the rock crawlers at "King of the Hammers" during the day and then retreat to your cabin in the evening and enjoy all the modern conveniences of home. Attend the Orchid Festival held each October at Gubler Orchids. Also in October is the Morongo Basin Search and Rescue Desert Run which is a 20 mile off-road course (fee charged).
