The Fisherman's Cabin is located just a few feet from the Wind River, where you can take advantage of private fishing, have easy access to the East Fork or the Wind River Range back country, visit the National Museum of Military Vehicles two minutes away, and enjoy Dubois after a short ten minute drive. Summary: Pictures cannot do this little cabin justice. What you thought was nice in the pictures, is even better in person. Was told by the caretaker that the river was too high, fast and muddy to fish in, but we caught 4 fish in the 4 days we were there (we only fished a couple hours a day too). I'll take it! We used nightcrawlers and those worked great. I also had some of the best sleep of my life listening to the Wind River as it rushed by. The only one small issue with the bathroom shower, no shower door, so water kind of sprays into the bathroom by the toilet. Just lay down a towel or open a window, things will dry up fast. You will hardly notice that issue as you have 2 windows with river view as you shower. It was an experience my family will never forget and is highly recommended destination. One last thing, we visited the National Military Museum just a couple miles away. I hate to say it, but I was not super excited to see it at first, its a must see if you visit. It exceeded my expectations 10 fold, just WOW is the only word that I can use to explain it.
