Summary:
Welcome to your getaway in northern North Dakota, just miles from the International Peace Garden and the Canadian border. This is the perfect cabin to escape to for a week with you family or friends. We have fast WiFi, over 100 feet of lakeshore, 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and free parking on the property. Everything you need to have a relaxing week away is provided. Plus, June-August enjoy the use of our Pontoon!
The Space:
Relax in a wide-open living room with a wrap-around couch, smart TV, and easy access to our full kitchen with island seating. In the summer months, step out onto the massive back patio and grill or watch the sunset over the lake. There is a Pellet Grill available for your use. Please bring your own pellets if you want to use that grill. It is a Green Mountain Smoker.
Mid-May-mid-October the cabin comes with a pontoon boat. There are instructions at the cabin on how to use and care for them.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the whole house. We do leave a few personal items here but feel free to put things in closets to get them out of the way as needed.
The Neighborhood:
This cabin is on Lake Metigoshe. The neighbors are all other cabins. There's a resort a mile up the road and tons of snowmobile trails around. In the summer months, we have a dock and over 100 feet of lake shore!
Getting Around:
You'll likely need to drive to the cabin, but once you're here there are ample opportunities for snowmobiling, boating, skiing, etc. There is a ski resort a few miles away. For supplies, there's a gas station at the top of the hill or Bottineau about 10 minutes away by car. Lake Metigoshi State Park is just a few minutes up the road as well.
Other Things to Note:
Please fuel up the boats after use/before you leave. There is a gas can in the shed you can use or you can get gas from the boat at Larson's Marine on the northern part of the lake.
If you're planning to use the pellet grill, please bring your own pellets. Some guests will leave extra behind, but to be safe, always plan to have your own :)
