Plaza Splendor is a large modernized adobe home located in the center of historic Santa Fe. Just a short eight minute (0.5 mile) walk to the Plaza, this beautiful two-story home has integrated but separate living spaces upstairs and down and two private entrances with adjoining off-street parking. The home comprises one king and one queen bedroom on the upstairs level and one queen bedroom downstairs. An ideal situation for families with children or groups of up to six adults. The home is a lovingly decorated and immaculately maintained New Pueblo-style house with a very large fully private courtyard. Here you will find the best of old and new Santa Fe style, chosen for beauty and arranged for comfort. Plaza Splendor is representative of New Mexico architecture and decoration with fine New Mexican artifacts, kiva gas-fired fireplaces, viga ceilings and woven cotton rugs.
The main level (upstairs) has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large open concept living area, a full kitchen, separate dining room and a small office space. The downstairs is accessible by a private entrance as well as through the interior stairs.
For the fantastic Santa Fe weather, Plaza Splendor offers a large courtyard, with both covered and uncovered areas to allow outdoor dining and relaxing when you need a glass of wine and time to review the highlights of your day in Santa Fe.
Plaza Splendor is designed for your comfort and pleasure. It's just 3 blocks off the Plaza, so all of historic Santa Fe is close by. Additionally, there is a community pool very near the residence at the Fort Marcy Recreation Center. You should check the availability of the pool on the FMRC website.

Summary: Easy check-in and great communication with property manager, who is quite responsive. This property is close and easily walkable to the plaza (.8 mile). The house is comfortable, and is chock full of local art (perhaps too much). The dark floors and ceilings make the house dark, even during the day when the sun is brightly shining. The location is on the corner of a busy intersection, with constant loud traffic (trucks, buses, motorcycles). The parking areas, particularly on the upper level of the house, require backing out onto a busy road with a curve that inhibits one's ability to see if cars are coming. The spacious patio includes a pleasantly shaded area and is a good place to relax with a glass of wine. Unfortunately, the patio has been sadly neglected in recent years, with few flowers but many tall weeds, a broken bird bath and old, rusting planters. We enjoyed Santa Fe, and plan to return, but will find a different house for our stay.
