Welcome to the Treehouse! We built this ourselves with lots of love! It’s fully insulated, has heat/AC, running water (water might be off in freezing temps, but there are functional work arounds ), full bathroom, TV, kitchenette, loft beds. There’s even a BBQ (propane), Fire pit sitting area, big slide and of course a treehouse pulley bucket!
It’s situated on the edge of town so you get the calm relaxing experience of waking up in a tree, but with the convenience of being close to all downtown Des Moines has to offer. Also just 3 min from Altoona (Walmart, Target, Adventureland)

*in the event of snow or rain, it’s highly advisable to come in a vehicle with 4 wheel drive to access parking.

Summary: We had seen other a tree House VRBOs and wanted to give this a try. We came when it was extremely hot and the owners added another AC unit to try and keep the tree house cool. It worked. It’s a tiny house in a tree.
