You have access to the entire house. The owner lives in the basement which has a complete separate entrance. You will not see him unless he is needed or you let Mallory know you would like to meet him. He is a friendly 70 year old man that has kids and grandkids and loves the outdoors. Summary: This is the perfect place to get away from the hustle of every day life and enjoy some peace and quiet. It's like very high end camping. We saw deer in the yard on 2 different occasions and there is lots of room outdoors for children to ride bikes and play outdoor games. The swingset was a hit with our toddlers and babies and the trails were enjoyed by the teens. We enjoyed the spacious porches, beautifully decorated house and all the thoughtful amenities the host prepared for us. We didn't mind the gentleman in the basement at all. I only hope we weren't too noisy for him. The worst part about our stay here was that it was too short. You will not regret booking this place especially if they replace the firm mattresses with some that are a bit more comfy....unless of course, you like very firm mattresses.
