The space
The Wabasso community at Snowshoe is truly a hidden gem and one of the most desirable locations on the mountain. It is close enough to enjoy a walk or bike ride to the main village. There is also a shuttle stop at the neighborhood entrance too. Guests love being able to park their car once they arrive and are able to walk, ride, or take a shuttle for the duration of their stay.
Just a few of the highlights about staying here:
- Access to the Upper Flume Run (green) is just below. Here you will also have access to the only ski in/ski out bar on the the mountain, the Flume Shack.
- There is a paved walking/biking path that leads to the main village where you can enjoy restaurants, shopping, Starbucks, live music and more!
- There is a community outdoor firepit.
- In the evening, you can take a stroll towards the helipad to enjoy some incredible sunset viewing (See photos).
- There are multiple storage areas for your gear including ski/board racks, bicycle mounts, and a gear dryer.
- The basement provides a perfect location to prep for the days adventures out of the elements.
The cabin is well equipped to ensure you have a comfortable and enjoyable stay! The style and design has brought a modern mountain feel with plenty of spaces to snuggle up with a blanket and relax.
The Cabin layout has the following:
-Enjoy a fully enclosed entry room to make the transition from the outdoors.
-You will enter a fully stocked kitchen, with moveable island/prep cart and bar seating as well.
- Dining table with seating for 5. There is also a bench nearby if additional seating is needed.
- The living room is designed with plenty of seating space to enjoy the fireplace, great conversation, or a movie together. This includes a sectional, additional sofa, two lounge chairs, and a large ottoman.
- Just off the living room is a large deck space with opportunities for outdoor dining, grilling, and relaxing.
- A guest room equipped with a queen bed and seating area is located on the main level
- Washer/dryer and full bathroom on the main level.
- Upstairs there is a kids bunk room with sleeping for up to 7, a full bathroom, and an additional guest room with queen bed and en suite deck.
- In the basement you will find a half bath, some additional "bunk" space for the kids, a large tv, and space to store and dry your gear for the next day's adventures.
