The High Life Ranch is perfectly situated at the southern flank of one of Gunnison Valley’s most iconic peaks. Take in the uninterrupted view of majestic Mount Crested Butte from the hot tub, surrounded by prairie grass, wildlife, and an unspoiled natural environment (please be respectful of our hard-working neighbors- this property is surrounded by working ranchland! Kindly respect all fences and "No Trespassing" signs.) Jump on your bike and pedal to many of C.B.’s most legendary rides within minutes.
Though the chairlifts are only 20 minutes away, you may choose to stay home and take advantage of all the wide-open space right out your door- play horseshoes, volleyball, basketball, enjoy solitude and million views from your gas grill or anything else you can dream up in your own slice of rural paradise. Don’t expect paved walkways and chatty neighbors, this is a truly rustic experience for those who have come to experience the greatest gifts Crested Butte has to offer- your own private compound surrounded by prarie and ranchland. A fully stocked kitchen, family-sized dining room, and cozy living room complete with wood burning fireplace, as well as an upstairs sitting room, bedroom, and loft give everyone plenty of space and all the amenities they need to unwind after a day spent chasing Rocky Mountain-style adventures. Please note the loft is accessed through the master bedroom, and can also be used as a great spot for the kids to enjoy their own little rec room complete with TV and fort-worthy pillows.
"Glamp-away" in the furnished barn, complete with couches, furniture, wood-burning stove, and electricity. The perfect place to swap fish tales, or for hearty-types to bunk down "off the grid!"
You are mere minutes from world class hunting and fishing, river rafting, hiking, biking, amazing Nordic and Downhill skiing, and at ground zero for the best wildflower displays nature has to offer. The shops, restaurants, and entertainment of Historic Downtown Crested Butte are 10 minutes away, and the Gunnison Airport is just 20 minutes South.
Additional lodging and common space are available for an extra fee, just inquire about the the fully-loaded RV right next door with a Queen size bed, big screen TV and sitting area, and its own dining nook, all just steps away from the hot tub. Please note the RV has electric heat and lights but does not have kitchen or restroom facilities- think of it as additional space for “glamping” with a hot tub and million-dollar views right out your front door.
Sleeping arrangement:
House sleeps 6 guests, 2 bedrooms and a loft accessed through the master bedroom.
RV sleeps 4 guests, Queen sized bed in bedroom, and futon in living area.

Well-behaved pets are considered ( 2 dog max, max weight 50 lb , sorry no cats.) An additional fee of $10 + tax per pet per night, minimum charge $80 per pet+ tax will apply.

Last minute requests cannot be granted due to pre established cleaning and maintenance schedules. Guests who occupy any part of the property including the driveway prematurely without preauthorisation from the home owner or property manager will be subject to a $ 250 fine. Guests will also be asked to vacate the property and return at check in time. Guests who check out after 10am without preauthorisation will be asked to vacate immediately and will be subject to a $ 250 fine.
