Travel Purpose: business

Positive: Proximity to Frisco is great, you could walk there for breakfast in about 20 minutes and the walk through the neighborhood is beautiful. The area is dog friendly and there's a park/pond at the bottom of the neighborhood. The house had plenty of space for us, the kitchen had what you needed, it was clean, comfortable and private. Its closeness to Frisco, Breckenridge, Dillon and Silverthorne makes it an ideal place to stay. I would absolutely stay here again and I hope I get to! Property management was very communicative, and we received several confirmation texts to ensure we got access to the property and that there were no issues. The instructions on what to do when you check out were very straight forward and not fussy (some rentals/air bnb expect the sun, moon and stars when you leave) which was much appreciated.

Negative: The backyard to the property backs up to the highway and the traffic noise is very noticeable, it makes relaxing on the patio difficult during peak traffic times. That said, it did not personally bother me but it might bother others. There are no bedrooms on the main floor of the house. The primary bedroom, which is the biggest bedroom, is upstairs and the stairs are wood and somewhat slippery (don't wear socks). The rest of the spare bedrooms are mainly downstairs in the basement, which those stairs are carpeted and were much easier for us (and our dog) to use so we slept down there. We couldn't work out how to use the A/C and it was a bit warm in the house during the warmer afternoon temps. Yes, I could have reached out to property management to work it out but there were so many large windows we opened up for a cross breeze and it wasn't so bad that I felt that I needed to give them a call. Its also MUCH COOLER in the basement rooms where we slept so it wasn't a big deal for us. Lastly, confirm if this rental is dog/pet friendly. When I booked the home the website said dog friendly and I got confirmation after booking it was dog friendly and that there would be a fee, which I'm happy to pay. When I called to pay the fee I was told by property management that there was a mistake and that this property does not typically allow pets, that would have been a big deal for us, our dog is family and I was past the point of being able to cancel the booking and find somewhere else. That said, after letting the property management know about how the property was listed when I booked it they ultimately honored it, I paid the fee and there was no issue.

Summary: We really enjoyed our time at this property, it's in a beautiful location!
