Welcome to the Torres Hacienda, a museum and working ranch! This hacienda is in the New Mexico Register of historic places. It was built in 1912 by OV Torres, the patriarch and prominent sheep rancher. Eventually it was run by his son Luis O Torres as a cattle ranch and has now evolved into an exotic animal ranch. Bernice, Luis’ wife, runs the hacienda and its menagerie of mini donkeys, yak, sheep, horses, llamas and alpacas.
The ranch guesthouse overlooks the 100 year old orchard and is tastefully appointed to give you a wonderful stay. You may make arrangements to tour the family museum and visit with the animals while you are staying here.

Summary: We loved the history of the family and ranch that this VRBO was on. Bernice was so kind and the property was away from town in a rural setting but just minutes drive to town.
