Summary: This was our first time staying in this property, first time on the east end, third time on the island. Overall, the house was great. Wonderful layout, view, bedrooms, capacity for a big family, nice pool, great beach access. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Decks are very nicely laid out as well, but pretty worn. One notable issue: the large, main refrigerator in the kitchen on the 3rd floor was not functional when we arrived (power was on, alarm going off, not cooling). We reported the issue on Sunday after powering it on and off and giving it time to try to cool down, and a maintenance person was finally sent out on Wednesday afternoon to immediately say that it could not be repaired. We didn't hear anything back after that. We were still able to stay and didn't lose food as there is a spare refrigerator on the ground level in the game room, but it was very inconvenient to haul every meal and snack up and down 3 floors for 13 people (the elevator was helpful at times). When we asked the property manager about some refund for this issue they noted that the rental agreement says no refunds for these issues. While this is true, it doesn't seem reasonable given the cost of a summer weekly rental. Noting this for future renters.
