This beautiful caboose, built in September1955, has been completely restored/renovated with its own private driveway, and perched on a bluff in Tehachapi overlooking the train tracks at Cable. Outside you will find a large wrap around porch to enjoy the 180-degree view of The Eastern Sierras, up to 40 freight trains per day winding their way through the canyon below and gorgeous sunrise/sunsets along with the abundance of wildlife. Retrofitting the space outfitted with modern amenities such as a full size 1.75-bathroom, bedroom with queen size bed and kitchen outfitted with electric stove, microwave, oven and a large refrigerator. Blending the comforts of home with a historical significance, this unique tiny home offers a truly special experience. Summary: This stay was a surprise for our son who has been obsessed with trains and the Tehachapi Loop is at the top for him. What an experience and one we will never forget. The caboose was perfect for us along with the details and hosts being available if needed.
